In our western oriented world we forget how much originated in the African continent. Edward Bruce Bynum redresses that balance showing that universal wisdom and intuitive awareness have roots in Africa as humankind developed its physiological and psychological capabilities. Bynum is the author of several books of poetry and the winner of the National Naomi Long Madgett Poetry Award for Chronicles of the Pig & Other Delusions. He is also the recipient of the Abraham Maslow Award from the American Psychological Association.
